    i just installed my new western didgital 80 gb 7200 rpm hard drive, and its not showing up in my computer, but in hardware devices it says that its working properly take a look,


    i dunno what to do :helpsmile:

    Damnit! I know how to do it just cant remember. Being sleep deprived sucks. It has something to do with formatting it or something to the likes of that.

    Yeah Formatt it

    Go to Control Panel> Administrative tools> Computer Managment> Disk Managment.

    Then right click on the disk then click format.

    ya was just gonna ay u need a partition.

    two ways i know:
    1. hard drives don't come with them

    and

    2. in ur screenshot it shows volumes: then nothing there...meaning there are no partitions.
