    Maybe its a user problem, are you sure your clicking Doom3.exe ?

    Graphics card i would say becuase it just sounds like it and i heard something a few days ago about problems with teh 9800 range...

    come on 50 pages , as for ur prob. bigdawg, sounds an awful like hardware problem and/or overheating prob. maybe ur heatsink is messed up for ur vidcard? woudln't hurt to check.

    is it PCI or AGP that u have, it it's AGP try messing wit ur BIOS (make sure u know wat ur doing first cuz noone ever told me the first time )

    Don't suppose you have fast writes enabled by any chance? Disable them, they tend to cause instability like this.

    Actually the lowest is a 8500 Radeon.

    I thought fastwrite was good...but yah im gona try disabling it.
