full bladder syndrome
stage 1: you are perfectly comfortable, but if you happened to be near a bathroom and had nothing else to do, perhaps you would stop by for a minute to "see if you have to go". your bladder is relatively or perhaps completely empty.

stage 2: you begin to notice your bladder at certain times, when pressure is applied or perhaps when going over bumps in an automobile, but it doesn't bother you much, and you probably do not even notice it unless you think about it.

stage 3: the feeling of a full bladder comes and goes, but is easily ignored. you begin wanting to return to stage 1, but it can certainly wait. the only way to return to stage one is of course to empty the bladder.

stage 4: you constantly have the feeling that you have to go to the bathroom and it is beginning to make you uncomfortable. this is the stage most people stop at because of this.

stage 5: you are very uncomfortable, but you can control it. you begin trying to find a more comfortable position. there may be a degree of pain.

stage 6: you are doing the dance now. you can still hold it, but it keeps you from concentrating on anything else and is quite uncomfortable, and you know you must find relief soon.

stage 7: you are dancing like a maniac and at any minute you could progress to stage 8. the only thing you can think about is finding a toilet, and fast.

stage 8: your full bladder syndrome has reached the highest stage. you are wet. this stage could last several minutes, but when it is complete, you return to stage 1.
