I upgraded from a 9600 pro , yes its a nice performance boost.
But its only because i needed another card for my other computer , so i used the 9600 pro in that one and got a new 9800 pro for this computer.

But the 9600 pro runs alot cooler then the 9800 pro , case temp (im my old case) went up 7°C

:edit:
And that with 2 x 12 cm intake fans and 1 12cm and 1 92mm and 1 80mm outake fan.
ok thanks for the info racer

I dont like to buy new hardware unless it's around twice the speed of my old hardware.
The 9800 Pro XT isnt twice as fast as my 9500 Pro, so I dont need it.

bad way to look at it.

how about upgrade once u find a game that ur card can't handle...

besides, the 9800xt is more than twice the performance of a 9500pro in newer games...

so u were wrong anyway.

Technically 46.4x2 = 92.8
Radeon 9800 XT got 82.7 in unreal

I do agree with you in "New" games, and really ment "old" games in my other post.
I'll buy plenty new games when I get the new card.
I noticed 9500 pro was discontinued and is harder to find. It's a rare, averaged speed card

Plus theres alot of stuff I'd like to also add like a 250GB HD, but I need to rack up some money money money.
