Thread: Startup Virus?

  1. #1
i have xp pro and when i open msconfig it says a program starts called WINDFIND.exe in the windows\system32 folder. is it a virus? it tries to access the internet occassionally and mcaffee firewall stops it and i always say no. mcaffee virusscan finds nothing when i scan it. is this an actual windows file? i dont think its from any other program installed. can anyone confirm this??

    I couldn't find anything proving that it's a virus(google searched)
It may still be malicious(anyone remember openme.exe? )

    I found this: Windfind programming
And found something about Acrobat reader... it looks innocent to me!

Well just uncheck it with MSCONFIG and see what it does!

That dosen't seem to be a virus...but for future refrence, go to the symantec (norton) page, there U can search por virtually any virus, and find out how to get rid of it B)
