I have a bleeping noise coming from my computer which sounds like some alarm of some sort. It`s a global WIn alumium case with a temp read out on the front. The readout is saying its running at 34.0c is this to hot.It did this yesterday as well but when i rebooted to see if it got rid of the problem it did,but i`d like to know what it is for sure.Could it also be the back up battery getting low.I only built it less than eigthteen months ago so i don`t think the battery could be gone that quick.

    Thanks in advance

P`s i think the temperature on the front of my case is only the case temperature.

It`s not a high pitch bleep singaboiy fell justa constant ringing like der der der der der der(if you can imagine it lol).Ive just copied an audio cd and it seemed to use all my CPU up with nero when it was burning.I`ve also just installed motherboard monitor 5 and took a screen shot of the temerature what it is reading.

The cpu one looks a bit high so i`m gathering that was the alarm that was going off.I`ve rebooted and the noise has gone.Plus it`s been pretty warm here in the UK for the past few days so i`m hoping that that`s got something to do with it.

What does the case's manual or GlobalWin's site say about alarms and beeps? Does it have a wake-up or countdown alarm?
Does your motherboard have a temperature alarm feature?

MBM 5 has an alarm that you can set to go off if your temps get to a set point. Thats what the noise is.

Either do something fast about cooling your stuff down or turn the warning up even higher. Your cpu wont last very long at that temp.

My cpu is a AMD Athlon™ XP 2700+ i`m trying to find out what temperature it should be running at.??/I`ve pulled the computer out from where it`s stored and the temperatures gone down six degrees.

I`ve got a fan blow onto the case now to see if it helps.

Do you have the side open? That helps too.

You usually want to run lower then 55C. I usually idle at around 50 with my 2200 @ 1.925

It`s down at 57 c and her is a screen shot of the motherboard moniter dashboard.

I guess it`s the hot weather and a shitty cooling fan.

Jeez Fugs, you are sounding uncharacteristically coherent today.

    EFFiles...
You might also look in BIOS and see what your temp warning is set to.
