    well im going to be switching my isp soon to another DSL company but they require u to have ur own DSL modem or u have to pay 10$ per month extra to rent it

    so im getting this deal...

    Speadstream 4060 DSL USB MODEM for $10 including shipping

    but the problem is that its a usb modem... and in the future if i plan to get another computer and router how am i suppose to hook the router up then? sinse its only USB

    is there a usb to ethernet thingy :helpsmile:

    so i should get the modem?

    im switching to http://www.mycybernet.net/

    $35CDN for 3000/640

    or i might switch to 3web($25 3000/800) but some ppl on dsl reports have been saying bad stuff about 3web and they seem to have a cap as well...

    I wouldnt get a modem.

    I have had a replacement modem 3 times in the last year or so. I only pay $2.50 US a month for renting it, but its payed off.
    Need a cheap/easy way of modding your xbox? Check this out.

    i just thought id search for the convertors...

    but i cant find any i only tried ebay...

    is there a special name for it?

    i searched for usb to ethernet but i get:


    can u find me one on ebay that ships to canada or tell me what they are called if theres a special name :helpsmile:

    Why do you need a convertor? Almost all modems have a usb port on them as well.

    u see the modem is a USB modem and IF i plan to get a router which takes in ethernet only... how will i use it

    and i like to use my 1gig ethernet port rather than my usb 2.0 port :helpsmile:

    i just sold one of those modems to someone for &#036;40 B)

    i got one free when i signed up for my dsl, but i didn&#39;t want a USB modem, and bought a netopia ethernet modem.
