i'm getting the Toshiba sdr5272 dvdrw. from this review at http://cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Specif...?ArticleId=9247
this burner is very very good. dvd rip speeds are really good. reads dual layer, and is overall hunky. i might drive over to tigerdirect's store in naperville later today to get it, i live bout 20min away. should i? is it really a good burner? any opinions? the reason i'm getting this is cuz it's only $50 after rebate. i was gonna buy a dvd rom drive anyway to replace my old broken piece of monkey poo, but that's $30. anything i should take a look at b4 i buy this? thanks!

i was told not to get a dual layer dvd-rw. there arent much use for them now and the firmware and crap can be a btich. tat is wat i was told from a friend. i would suggest getting a single layer burner for now, i just bought a brand new pioneer dvd-rw and it works like a charm.
