Mine was about ten years ago, when I got an infection of the whole digestive track... All the doctors could do was to say "come back tomorrow for another round of tests". So I spent about three weeks eating almost nothing and puking blood, which was nice. :x

But basically they kept running test, saying really cheering things like "we'll see if it isn't cancer", give me one shot from time to time, no morphin or other strong painkillers ("we wouldn't want the boy hooked up, would we?"), prescribing special diets (I still can't see rice without shuddering!
Until it stopped by itself... Never to come back again.
