The long-timers will remember Riddler's Gauntlet. And as I'm starting to suffer from lack of mental stimulation (read "stupidity" ), I thought I'd try to revive this. So if you have any new puzzles (or want to reuse some of the older ones again ) feel free to do so

To kick this off, I'll start with a new one I thought up while at work.

I have two Coca-Cola cans side by side on my desk. One I drank half an hour ago, the other just opened. Both are identical in look and size. However, without needing to remember I and, anyone else nearby, can tell which is empty and which is half full.

Without touching or otherwise interacting with either can, how can you tell which is the empty and which is the just-opened can?

Nope - They're sitting on a normal desk, and there's nothing added to either can.

    Bar the coke of course

Is one them thinner than the other because of lack of compression?

One has condensation on the outside halfway up the can

    edit: the half full one

it’s an election with no Democrats, in one of the whitest states in the union, where rich candidates pay $35 for your votes. Or, as Republicans call it, their vision for the future.

AFAIK, both would have suffered from lack of compression - Both were opened so both would have been subject to atmospheric pressure.

Even if I'm wrong, it ain't the answer

    CORRECT!

The can was just opened so it can be assumed that the can is colder than atmospheric temperature. With the wall of the can being colder than atmospheric, condensation would have appeared on the can where the drink was still. Therefore, nothing had to be done on the can...except look at them

Anyone else want to start one, or should I start another?

Probably been "done" before but for the sake of momentum...

A plane crashed and every single person on board this flight was killed, yet...there we're suvivors. Explain how?
