Thread: Anyone Know How To Lock/password

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me how you lock or Password protect a folder?
    Im using XP and have some stuff that I don't want a person (who will be using my log-on) to see.

    if you have xp pro, just use permissions to give 'deny' permissions to all other users.

    be careful not to lock yourself out of the folder too.

    Only way i know of is to password protect a rar file. You can drag and drop files into it as you would with explorer but your porn will take a while to extract when you wish to get your 'jollies'.

    There is an app which allows you to lock folders, can't remember the name - something to do with safe folder or summit.

    why not just give him his own log on and restrict access to his logon, would solve all your problems
