And, btw: I know it's probably not wise to try any burned games on xbox live, but will the originals still work on live?
Quick question without trawling through all the pages. Do i need to transfer the games to the hardrive? Or can i burn the ones i download to DVD and play them that way?

Yes you can play burned games on DVD's, that is within the first 5 posts...
However there is a guide to installing another HardDrive in this thread so that you have the availability to rip to your drive as well. If you can afford a new HDD I would suggest doing it that way, as it is easier than lugging tons of DVD's around when you go places, and they tend to load faster that way too. Plus you don't have to worry about buying DVD's or burning coasters either.

i think it said in the tut that you can play live by booting the game before evox loads (if legit) but then i read in another post that xbox live fixed the probelm and now it just doesnt work but it doesnt ban you

this isnt even close to the easiest way to soft mod a xbox, and you make it ftping harder than it sounds. You dont need a cross over cable you just need it hooked up like normal and get flash fxp.

yo well i m back again srry that i been rude to all of you yes f1 im sorry. but now i need to fix my xbox like it works but i have to adust things before i play it. in other words it doesnt properly work..
ok so this is my problem. i instaled ltools. i tryed removing it properly by going to mxm and it didnt work so i went directly ms dash memroy and erased it all and instaled softmod inster deluxe 2.0. now the xbox was workin even though i did that but it stil loaded the evo x dash from ltools and i didnt like it so on sid 2.0 it has file explore and i went to e drive and went to a file called biosld (bios loader) and i did copy c drive before i installed sid .. but all i want to do is to erase all my traces of my ltools ... I JUST WANT TO BURN GAMES INTO HDD . so what ever way is easier .. hdd upgrade mod chips or just reinstall ... please guys anything that u can think of please let me know. [email protected]... and ther is no and i mean ther is NO button configuration or magical boot disc or xbox disc that re installs..
