soft modding does that mean that I can like run really fast in halo 2 and jump high or is that just playing copied games and movies i need an answer and if that is what it is, intructions plz

okay instructions are on first page and softmodding is being able to run homemade software (homebrew) and unsigned games (backups of games) what you are thinking of is a trainer or a hack that can be run if you have a softmodded xbox

so that is about the only way i can have a new from scarch made hdd? do i realy need the eeprom? i mean i did softmoded the xbox so i changed the bios and the dash.. so it can read unsigned signitures so why would i need to lock the hdd using the eeprom? I DONT CARE ABOUT XBOX LIVE.. so what is the easy fastest way .. or the best way? i would say the easiest.. because i gotta return this game on tues .. and i ahve the hdd already n everything.. CAN U EXPLAIN TO ME IN SIMPLE TERMS OF WHAT I NEED TO DO.. like for example.. ok to upgrade hdd u need to grab the eeprom in the e drive back/ms or what ever.. then drago it to a folder called " " ... and then burn it to a media cd dvd .. then leave it inside pc .. then put 1 hdd on the pc then enter this then this or this then there presto !! new hdd .. I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THE PART WHERE I LEAVE THE CD IN PC THEN I TURN ON XBOX WAITNG TO GET UNLOCKED THEN POP IN THE XBOX STOCk hdd and then put the new hdd??? that is where i am lost.. OR AM I CONFUSING MYSELF WITH HOTSWAP? and isnt there another way to make this hdd ? of course i have to use xboxhdm1.9 but any other way?

So you went to MS dash and deleted the softmod? You could have uninstalled it by loading ltools back up. But that doesnt matter if you wanna upgrade/change the hd.

The hd must be in the pc when you boot the xbox hd maker tool. Make sure you are positive you have a backup of the eeprom before you do anything. I cant stress how important this file is.

You should know that the update a while back has eliminated any chance of getting on Live. I think it says that in the FAQS.

Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.

Can you do anything with your xbox? Even just boot straight to a game. Or are you stuck at that screen no matter what?
