yes all versions of xbox known to man (on earth) are compatible with this guide of softmodding. Just make sure you know what losses there are to softmodding such as xbox live if your interested in that.

Thanks for the info buddys :p,I really dont care about Xbox Live,the only thing i care about is watching my anime and video clips that are in divx,xvid, and ogg which have seperate subtitle files.

Sorry for all the questions but im getting a xbox soon and dont really want the whole system to not work cause of some little bug.

Ok here are my questions
Can I watch anime that have subtitles in them with xbox media center?.
If something goes wrong can i format my hdd and delete everything and start all over?.

of course dude i do it everyday
but if something goes wrong (which it shouldnt) i dont think putting a bandaid on it will help, if you are putting a new hdd in i reccomend you keep the orginal with all its files

If this is your main concern, just back up your original xbox hd after you softmod. Then if anything goes wrong later, you can just format and do a "fresh" install.

Use Qwix. Extact the iso. Remove files like demos and credits. Then create the iso using the folder that has the files that you took out. Most of the time it will fit, if not, delete things that dont sound important
