love your guide singaboiy i managed to mod my xbox just fine, but at the moment i am unable to ftp it (using both the crossover and router methods)


whenever i boot it up it says in the top left corner that i have no ip adress....is there a way to fix this?

Depends on which method you want to do it. If you do it through a router, what type of router do you have?

i have a linksys BEFSR41 v3, but i'd perfer to do it with the crossover cable which i just bought

I prefer through the router cause I just find it easier. Let me see if I can find the link for info on going straight to the pc.

Nice directions and understand it clearly, but somehow it didn't work for my Xbox. Does it matter what version it is because I just bought it brand new this past month and the manufacture date on the bottom of the Xbox is November 2004. Please help!

What happened when you tried it? With v1.6 xboxs (the newest ones) when the mod is installing, the screen will turn all different colors and looks very messed up. I will make a video of the entire process soon.

But when the screen messes up, just let the xbox sit for up to 20 minutes, you should then see the front eject led flashing green. That means its done.

1.) Here's what happen when i tried it: When i turned on the Xbox with the memory card it didnt do anything, it just went right straight the regular Xbox screen. Then i tried loading the file with the game and it crashed which shows a screen that says "Service required Call customer Support." I've let it sit there for about 20 mins and nothing happen so i just turned it off. Maybe you could help me..

2.) With the newer Xbox versions (v1.6), would FTP be a little more difficult to use or the same?

3.) Would a 200 GB Western Digital HD be capable with the Xbox?
