this is prolly a software thingy:

if you have XP, insert your CD, and boot from it......... chose the repair function an all will be well........

if not, please give more info (what hardware are you using, what OS, is it OC'ed??)

this makes it alot easier for us to help ya......

Yes Storm it's definitely Software related (OS) The Boot.ini file is corrupted,
    or missing.

First configure your computer to boot from a cd (or install the Recovery Console to your hard drive, then it will appear as a option when your system boots)

Insert Windows XP(?) CD and restart your computer.
When you see the message "Press any key to boot from CD, press a key to
    boot from your Windows CD.
When you see the Welcome To Setup message, press R to start the Recovery Console.
When asked type in your Admin password...then Enter.
At the command prompt type bootcfg /list and then press enter.
This will show the entries in your current Boot.ini file.
At the comand prompt type bootcfg /rebuild and press enter.
Follow the instructions that appear, to add the Windows installation to the Boot.ini file.

This should be moved to Software World.

    Peace brotherdoobie

ok i know adsactly what it tis...
i ahd that prob once.... did u install a mod like stlye xp.. or bootskin?...
if so one of them most probly stlyexp has tryed to mod ur boot.ini which is that little windows xp screen with the little bar loading before your comp fullyboots... yeah so.. either download a new boot screen (fix the mod) or chuk in the windows xp CD and reset it (set it to default)
