The Gmail Notifier is a downloadable Windows application that alerts you when you have new Gmail messages. It displays an icon in your system tray to let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.

The Notifier is in beta. Before you download it, we encourage you to review the system requirements and privacy information.

System Requirements
To use the Gmail Notifier, you need Windows 2000, Windows XP, or a more recent version of Windows.

Few good and bad things i noticed:
It notifies Few sec's(4 sec's) later then MSN messneger (probably and hope get fixed in next builts)
It doesnt shows "1 New Mail..." when right click it (probably and hope get fixed in next builts)
Much Much faster to get in box, take like 2 sec's to reach your inbox
You Can simply set Which Browser to Use with GMN to check your mails by option menu(no need to Change Defualt Browser)
Program Starts Too Fast but uses Windows Type login so u must enter Password each time it starts.

Edit: Ok.. Found that Icons Color changes if there r any new mail and if u mouse over it ull see if there is new mail also if u right click it there's an option called "Show me again" and it will show u if there is any mail.

But this is fast at notifing, rest of thoes apps r slow or seted to check once in while, this is just like msn u get notified same time when mail arrives.

The Gmail Notifier checks for new messages every two minutes. After you read your new messages, it may take the Notifier up to two minutes to notice that you no longer have unread messages.
