Anyone in the UK see the ITV report on this last night?

The way that the UK and US governments have treated these people for the last 40 years is attrocious, and against International Law.

The UK High Court found against the Government in 2000... their response was a Royal Decree issued in June this year (ie Election Day) overturning the Courts.

The way the US wont even let the native population visit their Ancestral Cemetary (UK Government at least Chartered a boat for them) is just well out of order.

The fact that 40 years ago both the UK Government lied to Parliament and the US Government lied to Congress in order for the "Lease" to go ahead, does not stop this outrage occuring today... Especially as the US has already stated they wish to extend the lease.

Hell they even hid the cost of the lease as a "Discount" on Polaris, to keep it from Congress orginally.

When Mauritious was given independance on in the 1960's, it was on condition that they didnt lay claim to the Chagos Archipelago Islands, which had been administered from there.

The Islanders where then Blockaded for no reason, and if they left their Islands to go to Mauritious for any reason (eg Hospital etc) were not allowed back.

Their pets were taken from them and gassed by the exhausts of US Military Vehicles.

When the population had dwindled to a small enough number, they were imprisoned prior to Forcably shipping them to Mauritious.

The Islands were Leased to the US by the UK to form a Naval Base in the Indian Ocean... nicknamed by the people serving there "Fantasy Island".

The Indiginous Population have been fighting for their Islands back for 40 years, and won in the UK High Court finally in 2000.

Blair used the Royal Poragative to bypass Parliament and a Royal Decree overturned the High Court Decision on election day this year.

The Americans lied to Congress, saying their was no indiginous population prior to Leasing the Islands, and helped in their depopulation

I saw it RF. If ever there was a case for more accountability to the country that is it. I also think that it is a good case for the abolishment of the Royal Family. The Queen signed that Archaic law without as much a batting an eyelid.

I want independance for Scotland now! Before we become the 51st State of the USA.
