Almost all of the free MMO games are either a) in beta b) suck or c) all of the above... You know what you can do though... You can download the original EverQuest from one of the EverQuest websites legally. Then you can just head to http://eqemu.net and get the details to play EverQuest on the emulated servers...

Um yes. There are some really fun servers too. Like there is one that only uses the original EQ but it plays sort of like Dark Ages of Camelot where different factions are trying to gain control of cities and stuff. It's pretty cool. Then if you want, you can create your own "world" so to speak and fill it with whatever npc, monsters, items, and crap that you want.

Then again if you´re gonna be cheap, you can go and register for the Lineage 2 beta. Download the client here. Mind you that the registration page is in korean though, so it might take you a while to figure out..

edit: oh you´ll need an id generator to get an id number for the registration. Get that here
