Features Ares has over K Lite

Here is a list of the feautures Ares has over Kazaa Lite.

I Love Ares, and if you like(d) Kazaa Lite interface then you will eb very at home with Ares. It is a KL lookalike but it uses its own network, rather than Fasttrack which has been overrun with fakes.

It does not contain any fake files (as far as I known and have heard)

It shows how many users are in the queue above you

It shows you how many users have the file that you are downloading (hover your mouse over the right hand area of the screen)

It can preview a partially loaded Jpeg image

Its preview of Mpegs is much more reliable than KLites.
(but it still cannot preview most avi files - boo hoo)

You can easily preview AVI files in say Video Lan as you can read the partial file name in English ! ie alphabetical characters.

Its search feature is not limited to 200 files !!

It has pretty coloured indicators of when a file is complete

Can anyone add more advantages ?

All the networks have fake files. Ares just has less. Ide say a big feature of Ares is that it's not being targeted by the RIAA.

I initially throught the same as you that all networks would have fake files, but as I said I have not had one, nor have I heard of anyone getting one from Ares.

I think some of it may be due to their full hashing of each file !

Ares has the potential to be the next Kazaa Lite. I think Ares is a very good program. Although I'm still loyal to Kazaa Lite

Bah digmen I'm sure there are some fakes floating around Ares. I dont recall getting a fake file (I might of but dont remember) but I did get a few files that were falsely named. Hell, I even got fake files on Direct Connect. Though that was only once thankfully.

the Magnet links are terrific, much better than s2d hashes, IMO.

The other thingI enjoy is that it's not been targeted by copyright organizations yet

and the main thing.......you can use Shift/Ctrl to select multiple items in the traffic window.
The lack of that feature was the single most infuriating thing about KL.

I'v been using ares lite for awhile now and have not gotten one fake,but stop promoting this software,keep it on the down low.the more people we have,the more fakes we will have.

i also have been using ares for a few months. i'd have to say its my favorite all-around filesharing program.
