to tell you the truth... on broadband.. you see no difference.

on some sites i've downloaded from they limit connections to about 10-15kb/s.. with flashget i can have about 4+ connections with decent speeds

Hmm, I do notice Leechget trys to hold the download at a high speed refuseing it to go down...firefox's download manager would shift up and down alot in speed. I am downloading GTA1 free from rockstar games at 385kb/s at a solid rate. Sometimes goes slighty higher if anything.


btw, I also used the "FlashGot" Extention for Firefox browser. When you click a download link.. you can move the check to "FlashGot" and it will start useing LeechGet, FlashGet, or whatever accelerator you use. (it supports about 4 of them)

i think they all are about the same.. Leechget shouldnt have spyware tho.
I'm scanning with latest AdAware SE build..plus latest def file.

The last version of FlashGet I kempt on my computer long was 1.4. Ever since the adware/spyware? that comes w/FG isn't for me. Don't miss it with Net Transport 1.87.258, does everything FG did. Chinese sites included.

I've been waiting for someone to mention the spyware thing.

As I said earlier in this thread, I'm using Flashget 1.60.
I've scanned it with every anti trojan and ad/spyware scanner I could lay my hands on.
It came up clean every time.
