They made a post from last November. It gave a total of active members and those active in the last 15 minutes. Add the numbers up and they were equal.
If the old board was wrong, I guess I was used to the delusion.

The old board said 15 minutes but was set at 45 minutes when I purchased it. I left it at 45 minutes. This board is actually set at 15 minutes, therefore the active users should be about 1/3 of what it said on the old IPB board.

So, one could say false statistics were being shown... worse thing is that it was on purpose... it wasn't even an error... hobbes is right, the place somehow seems slower now (less dynamic?), even though it was all an illusion.
the false statistcs were being shown, correct. I was not aware of this until Withcheese brought it up a few weeks ago, however.
7 out of 10 forums do this. IPB has a setting to change the number of minutes the member list is for. You can change it, but it doesn't change on the main page where it states the minutes. This is just one of the flaws in the IPB script.
