Does your computer have an add-on soundcard or is it onboard? If it's an add-on you'll have to tell us which one.

Anyway... Here is what I found for that model:

According to the SoundMax site, you need to get drivers from the motherboard maker: http://forms.analog.com/Form_Pages/s...chSupport.html

Have you tried using the "Intel motherboard" drivers from the first link I posted?

Yes, I installed the mobo drivers but the sound still won't work.

I went to the Intel website and went to my mobo page. The drivers are out of date, but it still works.

I need help, I am helping my nephew get his sound working. He owns a vpr matrix 226R. Where do I find sound drivers for this machine. Please reply with a direct link so I can download. I am disappointed that these are not on the vpr website.

    Thanks in advance

BTW, WinXP users, create a new folder called soundcard on your desktop, have al the files unzip to that folder, then run setup and keep clicking next, Restart and enjoy that wonderful sounding Windows startup!
