Port Forwarding Through A Switch?

My friend has 384 ADSL, and he has a couple of computers in his house all hooked up to it, but he has them all through a switch, not a router, and his download speeds through eMule and Bittorent are REALLY slow, so does anyone have an idea how I can port forward through this switch?

It's a Linksys EtherFast 10/100 5-Port Workgroup Switch

Eitehr the ISP has blacklsitred those ports he's using or it's a firewall stopping them.

you can get the same speeds as long as it's setup properly.

Well...shit. I'm pretty sure it's all setup right. But on files he downloads through HTTP or FTP, he gets around 40 KB/s.

Any pc that is not directly connected to the net will have a local ip adress. this means emule will consider it firewalled and give it a low id.
Port forwarding sends any traffic for a specific port directly to a pc on your network. since he is using a windows pc (im assuming) as a gateway its impossible to forward any ports.
