    Nice site, Zed

Since no-one included a pic of their cullinary masterpieces, I decided to

Note that wholemeal bread was used to create the toast and that instead of butter I've put dairylea slices on each of the 3 pieces of toast - each of which I've cut up into nine squares. The beans are Heinz, I used a full tin and warmed them in a saucepan, not a microwave.

Btw, altho' it isn't clear in the pic, I've used two eggs.

Yes, it's a really big plate, incase you were wondering
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

--Good for them if they survive.

    Sauce
    2/3 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar or honey
1 cup vinegar or squeezed lime
    2 tablespoons FINELY minced ginger
    4 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon regular mustard or 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard*
    3 teaspoon sweet soysauce
    1 teaspoon thaibasil
    1/2 teaspoon coconutmilk
*1/2 cup of finely sliced pineapple

    *Optional

    Meat Loaf
    1 pound ground beef
    3/4 pound ground pork (approximation)
1/3 cup finely chopped spring onion
    (white and green parts)
    3/4 cup bread crumbs
    2 eggs
2 tablespoons rice wine or any dry white wine
    3 teaspoon minced garlic
    2 tablespoons cornstarch
    1 1/4 teaspoons salt
    1 teaspoon sweet chilly
    1 teaspoon currypowder masala

Mix all sauce ingredients thoroughly. Set aside to allow flavors to marry.
Next, combine all meat loaf ingredients except cornstarch. Take 1 cup of sauce AND mix it into meat. Follow this step with evenly sprinkling cornstarch over meat and thoroughly mixing it in.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place meat in loaf pan and pack it down. Bake covered with foil for about 30 minutes. During last 10 minutes of initial 30-minute baking cycle, remove meat loaf from oven, drain fat and slice into several serving-size slices. Pour about 1/2 cup of sauce over meat, making sure some of sauce runs down into cracks. Bake uncovered for about 15 more minutes.

Meanwhile, if you want, you can heat and thicken leftover sauce with about 1 teaspoon cornstarch and an equal amount of water. As sauce starts to thicken, you can add about 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil to sauce.

This recipe makes a lot of sauce, so leftover heated sauce can be spooned over individual meatloaf servings if desired.

NOTE: If you want a browner meatloaf, bake covered for about 20 minutes and uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Then drain fat, slice meatloaf and pour sauce over it.

    Thanks for asking!!!

    Sheer magic.........

The reataurant is in the middle of the forest, called the forest of dancing

    trees.

It's that whole rustic thing, it has been an Inn since 1768.........

    The food was incredible.

I had a halfwarm salad with duckchest as first course, Fre had deerham with

truffle-butter. Both exquisite, though i didn't find the ham that special.

Next time i'll ask for truffle-butter on the duck; true bliss!!!

Fre had Salmontrout with limesauce as the main course.......

    Omg, what a treat!!!!

I had a Dancing forest meattriangle: Deersteak, Wild Boarsteak and

Hare with cranberry compote , wildsauce and red pear.

Everything was served beatifully arranged in a perfect pace.

We both had red wine, Fre had white wine to accompany the fish.

(very special for me, as i hardly drink........)

The service was the best i ever had in my country, not well known for

    it's good service.

The owner/maitre D really has it going.

    Btw all waiters were male.....

Knowledge of both food and manners was unprecedented.

On top of that we were sooo happy, both looking back 12 years and looking

ahead, i'd give the night out a 9,5/10. (take note: i never give a ten....)

Price for all this culi-blessings: 87,50 Euro before tip.(note: service is allways

included in holland.....) Needless to say the tip was mentionable........
