    You put the egg in directly and start counting the minutes from when the water starts boiling.

    There are also neat little thingys that probe a little hole in the top, preventing

    crackling. 99 cents at householdstores.

    Just put the egg in the water gently, don't let it bang the bottom of the pan and it'll be fine. I lower them in on a tablespoon

    Aswell as bying real eggs.

    I buy mine from a farm nearby.
