1- at that point when i posted it ,it was a funand games cuz the thread it was in (oddpics)

2- no pm or warning was ever givin in any of my moderations and all were by ike

3- i applogized for what i did and see now that ya it was a mistake on my part and clearly served my moderation /ban and formal appolgy to the board


and the fact that i dont see how dog porn and male orgy's were jus clearly let by last night while mine as seen as a so harsh to the members!

Let's be quite clear about this.

The link bujub22 posted contained obscene material. There's no other word to describe it accurately. Such material and links to it never have been and never will be allowable on this forum. Speaking for myself, had I considered that he realised the full implication of the site I would probably have voted for a permanent ban, and I think most, maybe all, of the other members of the mod team feel roughly the same.

The initial 2 day ban was in order to give the mod team time to work out what to do about it. I know it is crazy, but the mod team can give a temporary ban but can't put someone on moderation, that needs an admin. We are trying to find ways round this restriction, but until we do temporary bans are the only option available if there's no admin online.

That's fine. I understand the predicament. However that doesn't address the issues here.

1) Two days ago it was intimated by Admin and Mods alike that Bujub would serve a two day ban and then he would be back. To me that means he will serve a two day ban and be back. Not that he would serve a two day ban and be placed under indefinite moderation. This was not conveyed in the conversations that day, either deliberately or because subsequent decisions to the contrary were made.

2) It has been indicated to Bujub that if he apologised to the entire board he would be allowed back. This is ridiculous for a number of reasons.

a) Anyone can write an insincere apology.

b) Only around 5 members seen what he is apologising for.

c) Kids are made to do this in school, do you want him to get someone to take a photo of him standing in the corner and have him post that too? It is demeaning and totally unnecessary.

d) It is blatently sent whoever instructed him to do so on a power trip. This person should be ashamed, as should the people who advocated it. If bujub felt it necessary to apologise of his own back, then fair enough but being ordered to do so reeks of narcissism.

e) Even though he complied with these instructions he is still under indefinite moderation. Would Bujub have apologised like that if he was made aware of what would - or in this case, wouldn't - happen.

Practically everyone I talk to is laughing at the ineptitude of the moderation team here. Is member management really this difficult?

But, no-one can say that those pics weren't disturbing and with horrific implications... they were REAL not cartoons....not Itchy and Scratchy for prime time telly. This was R rated (18) stuff and is not acceptable on a board with young people on it.

I can't help but feel that the petulant defence of these pictures is nothing more than an excuse for a bitching session.

Sara, I am not defending the pictures. Where did I say that.

I've a problem with the power trip - yes it was - and the misleading of Bujub and members alike with the fobbing off that's occurred since.

Would you have ordered Bujub to apologise to the whole board knowing 99% of members wouldn't have a clue what he was on about, knowing that he would still be on indefinite moderation subsequently and knowing that you were misleading him into doing such a thing by intimating that by him posting an apology it would be an end to the matter?

I sincerely hope the answer to that is no. There is no rhyme nor reason to this demanding of a public apology save to service one's ego. Such tactics belong in kindergarden.

Bujub has not had an unblemished career here, as I am sure we are all aware. It all adds up.

If there hadn't been such a fuss made on the board...bujub would just be working through his moderation and that would have been it.

But...I can't help feel a mountain is being made out of a molehill. The appology was to avoid a ban..simple as that. No ulterior motive.

@ manker...you are being deliberately provocative. I have stated once, and I will make it clear......There was no intent to belittle or humilliate anyone. No one was 'misled' intentionally or otherwise. You have been told many times that the mod tools are fucked but will not accept it. I can see that no matter what any of the mods or admin says, you will choose to believe in your demonisation of our motives.

Now please, how about we move on to something else?
