(Sorry that /\ is an image I can't figure out how to get posted properly.)
When I start up my computer it sits there and spins and my hard drive spins all the while.
I can't click on it or right click on it for any information. Then it just goes away.
Any body know what it is?

looks like a string of DNA
other than that
open task manager when the dna is running and look in the processes to see what it is.
or use a startup controller program to find it or type- msconfig in run look at the startup items

you might see something in add/remove . it looks like it might be something that you have downloaded or it was attached to something that you downloaded.

What happens if you put the mouse pointer to hover over it for a few seconds? Or even right click?
