It's great to ask us how much the lens costs but we don't have a clue what camera the lens is supposed to fit on.
umm, while the fish-eye style lenses are probably still available, what you are seeing in those skating videos is merely a special effect added in post production.
and this...
...is just the specs of your lense. nothing more.f=4.2~50.4mm F1.6 - 43mm

an special effect?.. do you know where i can get this so called special effect?Originally Posted by harrycary

I think it's better to get the fish eye though.
and just type into google "fish eye lens for {insert camer model number here}"
Let me restate this, what your are seeing is done in post production using software. The picture you've posted isn't done with hardware(i.e. special lenses).
The reason I say this is because the camera lense is, without a doubt, the most expensive part of a camera.
In this day and age it is far more cost effective to do special effects such as this using software. Especially by low end video productions such as those creating skate videos.
Adobe makes video editing software that can produce this type of affect but I'm sure there are others.
And, I question whether your camera has the capability to interchange lenses. (most consumer cameras don't)
peace,
