Can't Download anything

I am Using K++ and Shareaza and I've just got this new problem both programs used to word they still connect to the network but the downloads don't start even tough there are sources avaliable. I am using Aol
does any one know whats going on or can help me.

Disable ALL aol security settings and get your own a/v and firewall.
