another question: How far will the comp boot up if the memory is mess up?
cause my goes all the way to were it say that windows was not able to sucssesfully start and i have options:
Safe mode
safe mode with networking
safemode with command promp
start windows normaly
but when i try any of then i get the error screen
download memtest86+ and put that on a bootable floppy and try running it. It will tell you if your ram has any problems.
sorry for not replying i was at a friends house testing the Ram and it works he also recommended doing a clean reinstall of windows.
if you have any ideas to what it might be please post them
