What is Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library?

I can't open my Shareaza P2P client because of some C++ Runtime Library Error. Supposedly Shareaza (or some application?) requests Runtime to terminate the application in an "unusual way." Then Shareaza shuts down.

What is the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library and what use is it? Why is it blocking me from running Shareaza?

Did you try to reinstall it?

yes I did. I unistalled it. Then I DLed the newest ver. of Shareaza and installed it. Same problem repeated.
