Thread: DVD Burning Problems...

  1. #1
I bought a new DVD burner recently (Pioneer 108).
I burned a few discs at 12x with no problem, but for some reason, when I'm trying to burn now, nero is saying it can only burn at 4x on these discs...which is a bit strange considering they're the same discs I was just burning at 12x on a couple of days ago.

Anyone got any tips or advice on how to solve this problem?

    NERO 6.3.1.0
    Windows XP SP2
    Arita 8x GO5 dye DVD-Rs
    Pioneer 108 (1.14 firmware)

    edit: NVM, got it sorted.

i had a similar problem however my cd-rw drive would only write at the cd-rw speed when i inserted a cd-r. try using a lens cleaning cd, i did that and the drive writing speeds returned to normal.
    good luck

Since nero wasn't the problem, I didn't think it was worth the hassle of upgrading

I haven't seen any bugs on it yet, and both my burners are supported (Pioneer 108 is fairly new)...

Anyway...I can see why upgrading might be a good idea, but it's not something I want to do
