As, for the deleting things in WMP, Reality's suggestion of windows washer worked just fine... not only cleared that, but other crap I had as well. Damn... it showed I had about 100mb of tifs buried?? I regulary delete my cache... and it still found more. Amazing!!! Windows Washer is a nice program.

Digital sound comes in through the IDE cable (the big white ribbon cable).
Analog sound is that seperate wire (grey colored usually) that goes from the CD-ROM directly to the soundcard (or motherboard if it's onboard sound).

well then... I am more than sure mine would be digital. As far as I remembere, the last time I looked inside my box, both of my cd drives use IDE cables. And I dont know why anyone would want to play a cd on their computer and have it analog, of course when it comes out of the speakers it's analog... but why lose more than one generation?

Oh well.

It's just a punch of 1's and 0'1 on the CD.

Somewhere on the hardware it will ne turned to Analog signal thought.
