Thread: Mysterious men

  1. #1
Went out to a club with a friend of mine last night. He is about average height with a bit of a belly.

He was dressed as Batman, and the costume was high quality. It accentuated his shoulders, hid his gut and had a "six back" stomach.

He has a strong jaw so the costume, suited him well.

It was a rather interesting experience. His mysterious air really attracted the ladies and somehow impressed the men as well.

I would watch my friend walk by a group of people and their heads would swivel from one side to the other, watching him. Many others were dressed up, but there was something about his partially concealed face that was intriguing people.

I noticed that some women would reach out and touch his cape, letting their fingers trail along it as he walked away. Guys would walk up and shout "I'm Batman" and I can't even remember the number of times people wanted to pose with him for a picture.

It was like being with a celebrity or something.

We were talking with a group of ladies at one point and at their request he took off his mask. It was like air from a balloon. It was not that he is not a decent looking guy but rather that the mystery was gone and he was just an average "joe".

People are really intrigued by a person with a partially concealed face.

Hobbes does not wear costumes. But considering the relative interest from the ladies, you could say that I was "the invisible man"

It must have been interesting to witness that first hand. It made me think of Halle Berry, looking gorgeous in a multitude of photoshoots and movies but when she finally revealed her top drawer in 'Swordfish', for me it took away much of her allure. Quite disappointing.

Of course your mate shouldn't have taken his mask off, proper superheros endeavour to stay facially hidden upon pain of death
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

--Good for them if they survive.

You are right, and when he pulled out his "mini me" for the adoring throng, things went way beyond the pale.
