Yes RealitY, now I know what you mean...
for example, I have this tracker,

    http://just example:6969/announce

    does 6969 means anything?

Point is some ISP throttle standard ports such as the one your using which would make you leech without knowing it so many trackers now block user on those ports so change it...

    -Tracker: Active
    -Uploads Limit: 10
    -Upload limit: 16 kbps
-Download limit: 40 kbps (only goes up to 16 at most)

    Input port: 6881
    UDP Protocol: Active

    Upload Max Speed: 40 kbps
    Download Max Speed: 50 kbps
Change max uploads to 5 if your max upload is 16 kbps
set download limit to 0: unlimited

input port: change it. I use 1201

I have the UPnp plugin disabled.

    Interface -> Start:
    I have all options disabled.

If you have a router make sure to port forward it.

Hi guys, I was wondering in the TorrentSpy forums, and from the coments of the people there, I get the impresion that, even if slow download speeds are common, many of them have had grat speed at some point in theys downloads, and Im not talking about 30 or 40kbps, no im talking like even 100kbps.

So, the most I´ve got on BT is like 40kbps (on a 700Mb soundtrack), but now I have a file (8Gb Season), that wont go over 15kbps and it has 11 Seeds,
then my question is this, ¨is there a way to increase the seeds? opening the posibility of a speed increase.

...all this besides all the other settings.

    1. If 11 seeds then how may peers
    2. What client are you using
    3. Do you have a Green light
    4. Do you have a router/nat

    Well RealitY, Im doomed then,

    11 seeds, 37 peers...
    using Azureus
almost never get ¨the green light¨, always blue or yellow at most,
and I dont know if I have a router,
is there a way to know?

Well if there are a few Seeds an alot of peers it may be slow to start although the ratio there is not that bad. If you never get the Green light then your connection is poorly setup which means you will connect to less sources and thus less speeds.

A router is used to connect multiple computers to one line and if you have one you need to foward the ports of your bt client to get that Green light and more sources, thus more speeds.

As for AZ its a very good client and may get more sources compared to other clients so nothing wrong there although it takes more resources. Anyway did you ever change your port and if so to what. Also you still need to figure out if you have a router or not and if so which one,,,

Humm, I only change ports from 6881 to 6889,
and about a router, as I told you earlier, I dont know how or where it is suposed to be, but lets see, I have my CPU, from there a cable that goes to my CableModem and from there the cable that goes out of the house...
and if I never get the green light, what do you think it coul be that I have not set?

also Reality, as you seem to be the only one trying to help,
when I loose conection with a tracker, (if it goes ofline for a wile,
is there a way to change or find another that has the same file?

Change the port to random number above 5000 and see what happens after you close and reopn the client.
As for offline trackers you can wait or find the same file on another tracker and continue it there if you want...
