Alright, as the title states, I have downloaded a file. I have tried opening the file from both Azureus and by locating it on my hard drive. The file size shows as it should, however, when I try to open it, it doesn't open. This happens with all files I have downloaded. Anyone have any suggestions?

It is a .rar file. Should have specified that in my original message. This has happend with .zip files as well. Perhaps they are corrupted?

Smoke weed everyday
do you have winrar installed on your machine?
You need something to unpack the archive

I use WinACE. When I locate the file, I can open it, but it does not show the contents of the file, it instead shows the contents of my desktop.
When I right-click and choose to extract it to a folder, it extracts nothing.
EDIT: Like I said, do you think the archives are corrupted?

Well now, that worked. Never thought it would be the program I was using to unpack the files. Thank you kindly for your help.
