wondering if people can help me out here

I decided to Finlay scrap Norton's and switch to NOD32 which I really want to use I think its great.

heres the problem when I have it on my machine running BT after about 20 minutes freezes.. well the program doesn't freeze the download and upload speed just doesn't move. you click on advanced link and yeah no info comes up. so it is frozen yet it doesn't crash.

as soon as I unistalled Nod32 problem was solved

what is it in NOD32 that is causing this?

i don't really want to go back to nortons!

i have had the same problem as you have had with nod32 and panda titanium . when i was using bittorrent i would get to 60-63 connections then it would freeze i was told that bittorrent had some sort of compatability problem with those antivirus programs so i have gone back to using avg antivirus and i don't have that problem anymore.

There's something called IMON in NOD32 that might be causing the problem. During install uncheck the box when it asks if u want IMON.

Ya I remember NOD affecting BT way back although I thought it was only with AZ. Thing is as if you have a clue you most likely wont get any AV in the first place so I think you should have simplest or the one that uses the least cpu AV available since I also think definitions are getting very close amongst the majors, thats why Ide never use NAV again since its just bloated software doing more than Ide want from an AV. Ive found especially when dling to stick with things that are simple and effective which for me are AVG and Sygate, do their job and dont fk shit up...

Disable the IMON components of NOD32.

Also make sure you have the latest version (2.12.2).

oh yea, i remember i went crazy when this happened crazy. don't just disable. uncheck the thing, then beneath it, click stop. this way it won't start next time.
