Problem Connecting To Any Server

Hi ppl. hope u r all well.

I'm spending a bit of time away from home at the mom

Switched peecee off about 1 week ago. Turned on again Saturday 30-10-04. Could not connect to any server. Tried again Sunday with no luck.

Back home again this evening, trying to connect to a server. No joy (been trying for around 1 hr 30 mins). ED2K network says "connecting"

Ppl are uploading from me OK !

KAD network is open. E-mule is not firewalled. TCPIP conection OK. No software loaded / uninstalled, peecee just as it was when I last connected OK. KaZaa2.43 works OK. No EMule settings mucked about with.

Am really scratching head.

Any ideas ? Could it be something at my ISP ??

update your server.met AND/OR in "preferences>server" check the 2 "update serverlist when connecting" boxes (not the "auto-update at startup" one)

Sorry, don't understand "Update server.met"

Re. checked boxes in preferences :

AUTO-UPDATE SERVER LIST AT STARTUP... is not checked
UPDATE SERVER LIST WHEN CONNECTING TO A SERVER.....is checked

These seem to be default settings which I haven't touched.

Forgot to mention... am using 0.44b

I'm quite new to EMule... only about 2 weeks now. Could be a port thing ? Am using 4662/4672/ 4661 (default)

sounds like firewall router issues then, try changing your listning ports and restart emule

this may come a bit late but maybe u set sygate to block emule from connecting to the net ? That may be why emule said all servers appear to be dead (its happened to me before too )
