    Well, for one, yes. I despise subtitled movies.

    I'm a fast reader but I despise having my eyes at the bottom of the screen in an action style movie. In something like Passion for the Christ (?), it wasn't bad at all and I barely noticed it.

    Indeed there were gangs, drugs, etc., but it was all done in this artsy manner detracted from what it could have been.

    May i ask, What do you mean with "what it could have been."

    Good for me that the movie is in Portuguese.. no subs needed

    I enjoyed the movie. You have to watch it a few times to really get it. Since, as Skizo point out, you have to read the subtitles the first time around. But, once you know the story, you can enjoy the visuals and the acting, which was excellent.

    it's like 100 % sayd :the same director on City Of Men
    it will be interesting but not much different like City of God

    anyways :very good film

    Its a great film City of God , cause were still talking about it a year later . Thanks Zed , will have to look for the new one .
