Ok, I have used this for around 2 years or so, and it has always had tons of sources and been fast. Latley, however, it is always going slow and not many sources AT ALL and always takes a while to connect...any ideas?

Try LimeWire Pro. Get it at Nsane Productions.
ya limewire has same selection and same great "non-fake files-ness" as winMX with a nice interface.
i made the switch a couple days ago.

The thing I REALLY like about winmx, is that they have a TON of 192bitrate files, unlike kazaa. Does limewire also have this?

I also use WinMX without any of the problems you describe. Have you checked your settings? Try the Auto-detect feature once more. Could be your modem is having difficulty. I know mine is but until it gets a new firmware revision, I'm unable to use eMule.
LimeWire has a lot of 192bitrate files, yes.
Are you using the latest version? WinMX is working great for me.
Yes, latest version which doesnt seem to be doing good for me. I do have a fixed IP and forwarded ports for bitornet, but I dont think that would affect it.
