Yor PC would start acting funneh, being slow, pop up windows appearing,
the homepage on the browsers changed... thats crapware.

For spyware, its just slowing down the PC somewhat, sending info back to "home" about you.

For Viri and Trojans, sometimes you dont even notice they are ON.
Dont be silly, get some protection.
    There's a Guide about this:

    The Ultimate Cleanup\Tweaking\Security Guide

Take a good look, its worth it.

    Spoiler: Show

There is no excuse not to have protection. A lot are free and easy to setup!

    Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
    Zonealarm: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...RSS,RSS,00.asp

Edit: On the last link, there are three or four different free firewalls to choose from.

without proper software, it would be difficult to find out. sometimes u won't even notice any problems with ur comp

i suggest that u get a firewall right away. That way, when a weird app starts to ask for access u know something's wrong.
