For all you know this guy has spent another xxx amount of money on the phone to his technical support because he can't get the speeds he is paying for.

are you sure its downright illegal? depends where you live and since his neighbour seems to be offering up the connection to everyone at the momment (even though he has not given expressed permission) this is enough in plenty of countries to make it legal to hop on his network.

check the laws in your country before you start cracking other peoples netwroks it can get you into lots of trouble.

Recently, i posted a question, telling that my neighbour's wireless connection was dead and how i could re-use it.

Somehow, this wireless connection is working again. :applaud: I did not do anything, it just started working.

So my question is: before i start using this connection, what are the issues I should be aware of???? :hmm:

(1) Do I put of myself at risk for using this connection?
(2) Can the other person know that I am connected to his connetion?
(3) Can he know what I am downloading?
(4) How can he misuse my computer?

Personally, i wouldnt mind sharing my connection with others, i pay a lot of money every month and dont use the connection to its maximum capabiliites.

If you talked to the guy maybe you could both come to some kind of arrangement so you wouldnt have to leech.

if i found out someone within 100 feet of me had a pc and wanted broadband i'd be straight round. £12 a month each just gotta try not falling out with each other about mega leeching
