DUDE!! I can't believe i'm going to type all this but here goes
arl tri to make it simple so if u still can't get it right after i've typed al this i'll killu jokin
1 load nero and close the wizd
2 click file at top right , opps!!sorry left
3 scroll down to new ,then choose CD-ROM BOOT
4 on the top click boot tab,then image file and press browe and find wher u put the xpboot.img file
5 then tick expert setting (for advaced user).in the (kind of emulation)
change to no emulation,then change (boot message)to MICROSOFT
CORPORATION,THEN CHANGE (NUMBER OF LOADED SECTORS )TO 4
6 click label tab & in volume label ttype (THE VERSION OF XP U HAVE)
WXPFRE_EN FOR WINDOWS XP PRO
WXHFRE_EN WINDOWS HOME
WXPVOL_EN WIONDOWS XP CORP
7 type MICROSFT_CORPORATION as the publisher and data preparer
8 click burn tab and make sure finalise cd and disc at once ar checked
9 click iso tab and make sure the settings are iso level 1 &mode 1 and iso 9660,joilet
10 click new and add ur files (I386,DOCS,SUPPORT,VALUE ADD,SETUP,and the WIN51*.*files
11 select write cd ,WEN THE BOX APPEAR JUST DOUBLE CHECK UR SETTINGS)
12 BURN
13 GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the help CosmoK. I think/know that I am missing files so i am going to re download and try again.

Here is a guide on how to do it. It has the bootsector file you need also. Id recommend making an unattended install while your at it. Saves you from having to be infront of the computer while it installs. Also while your at it. Slip stream sp1 onto that cd.
Before you ask, no i won't tell you how, thats why the internet has search engines.

Cheers guys!! u ...b**t**ds ... u could have posted theese links earlier it took me hrs to rembr & dig out which magazine(p.c.w sept 2002)had this guide in ....& then type it...They put in in there feelin sorry 4 ppl how by new machines and just have xp preinstalled and not supplied with the cd... cheers for the links anyway
