Thread: help with APE file

    I dl an album. I unrared it it was three file.
    1. APE CUE file
    2. .CUE file
    3. LOG file

    I converted the APE file to a wav. The problem is that the album is 1 continuous track! Its 45 mins long. I'm not sure what to do with this!

    Hwy are you converting it to .wav?

    .ape is meant to be new superior encoding method, if its just so you can play it on winamp you can get a plug-in for it

    OK. I downloaded the plugin. Installed it. It plays the APE file. But the Album is still one continuous track!
    How do I extract the individual tracks ?

    Hmm, I am not to sure how you would do that with .ape, i only came across it myself a couple of months ago.

    split it in wav format, theres tons of apps to slpit wavs, google

    Cant you just mount the cue file to a virtual drive with alchohol or daemon tools, and then rip the tracks from it?

    i'm not even sure...i am running out of diskspace to i unintalled right after using it. i googled "extract tracks wav" or something
