Well, my father has had his for about 10 yrs. I was quite unlucky before, it was about 1 yr old, and I had only used it once. Warrenty had expired.

either way, If I would unplug the radar detector, I wouldn't have this problem. Dawn might be coming home early though. I told her my battery was dead, and she thought I was talking about the damn cell phone
