Half Life 2

true im afraid - steam is fine once installed and is great for bothe cs scource online and half life 2 - but it takes bloody ages to install when you first get the game. im on 56k and it honestly took about 1 1/2 hours between getting the game home and playing it

its all straight forward - but a right pain in the arse

I'm getting memory read errors when it tries to rebuild Node Graph (which is everytime it switches scenes.) Of course the read errors boot me out. Any solution?

ok just played it(Half-Life_2.WORKING-AXPi), one thing i want to know.. did this released Ripped Movie clips or starting Clip, cuz i see no startup movie, there should be a "On previously" Clip. if they did RIp then i wont play this version, there is no fun without movie.

Nothing has been ripped from it. The new EMPRiO release has been nuked

Whenever I want to play the game, I get the whole "Connecting to Steam" "Preparing to play Half Life 2" thing...

How can I play in offline mode, even though I have a 24/7 connection, I don't want Steam running in background...

It says on the reference card to select Remember My Password on the login screen, but which is the login screen cuz I can't find that option!

all these releases have the same weakness, they dun have the solution to all those minor bugs u see while playing (AI_disabled and etc). all they have is a workaround, just a temporary fix to correct the problem.

so, most of the latest releases are fine, no matter wat u choose. it's the question of how much can u bear with the annoying minor bugs coz they won't go away anytime soon.
