I thought the game was great, you prob should play number 1 first though. The graphics were spot on, the world around seem'd so life like. When you first get to wander City 17 everyone i s walking around getting on with their lives and so on. The game features some great phisics and uses the Havok rag doll effects and Source engine to its fullest. Also i think as the story continues the game gets better with the ending a slight disappointment but at least i can sleep well knowing there will be a third. Also Half Life 2 comes with not one but two great multiplayer games. Some games don't even include one.

Compared to every other FPS out now this game stands Head, Shoulders, Body and feet above them.

i didnt like the game because it was realli slow and i will admit it was realli life like and had good graphics i guess thats just not my kind fps but i do like how it is one big story just the gameplay was kinda sucky....i like games like rainbow6 3 and counterstike

If you don't like HL2 then DO NOT play the original. You'll have the same opinion as I did. (wanting to throw it out the window it sucked so bad) I thought the original HL was on of the dumbest, most repetitive games I had ever played. It ranked right up there with the original DOOM, the suckiest game ever.

i usually just jump to the second game if i missed the 1st as the graphics ect are usually better, then ill play 1

Number 1 is still a classic. Even with the bad graphics i could easly sit through and play it again, infact i have been doing the last 3 weeks. Iv been playing Half Life: Source which is just number 1 but with better graphics. If you say the reason you won't play a game is because of bad graphics then your missing out on hundreds of great games and missing the whole point of a game.

And i was saying play Half Life 1 before you play HL2 as right now chances are he doesnt know what the feck is going on.

Sorry are are you a retard? Counter Strike is Half Life! Its a modification of it. Once you get past the first few levels i think the game gets very fast and i liked the sense of you having to get out of City 17 as soon as possible. The water boat thing went on for too long the first time i played it but the second time when i was playing on hard it was just right i knew where to go but it was a challege to get there. Quality stuff imo.
