I use it, I like reading what is being spoken at the same time. It is on right now as we speak... eh type..

They sometime get it wrong. I wonder where they find people to type stuff in live T.V shows like the news.

Usually games have different volume controls for dialogue and backround noise. Turn down the backround static and conversations will be easier to understand.

As my native language is not english, I find it easier to get the point of a conversation with subtitles when the actors is mumbling some unrecognizable words (learn to speak clean damnit).

Mind you, I understand the english beeing spoken in most cases (henche I often use english subtitles), it's just hard identifying what they're actually trying to pronounce in some cases.
exactly my case... although it seems that i;m getting better at listening and understanding the dialoges on tv... maybe in some years i won't be needing cc's or subtitles anymore...

i voted "yes 'cause im hearing impaired" i guess i am... right???

The BBC I think sometimes have automatic subtitles for live broadcasts, it's hilarious when it gets it wrong sometimes.. Mostly for Scottish people it seems..
