    i want to burn a svcd and subtitles with nero. i pick what kind of file i want to burn (svcd) when it asks you when it starts up. then i choose the svcd and the subtitle file (this svcd has an .idx and .sub file and you need both to play subs for some reason) but it said the 2 sub files cant be on the cd becase the arent svcd format. is their any other way i can burn the svcd and the 2 subtitle files so the movie will play with the subtitles on my dvd player? thanks

    you need to add the subtitle 2 the movie first. so it is always visible. I've tried this before but I always ended up with a blurry picture around the subtitles..

    that why its a PITA.

    you have to do it again most likely, this time strip the audio with v-dub to wav
    then encode like you did last time sept choose the stripped audio

    you may be able to demux your fucked up avi to mp1 and mp2, then strip the original avi to wav (with v-dub) then encode the wav with besweet to mp2 then mux in tmpgenc with the mp1 ;
    but even if you figured all that out their is a chance it will be off (out of sync).
